Baston Farewell

Sunday 5 July

Hundreds of Baston Old Girls with their families and Ex-Staff descended on the School for one last wander round on a glorious summer afternoon.

Visitors were able to meet up with old friends, walk round the classrooms and tour the grounds while enjoying a cup of tea and lovely cakes.

Jean Vasey (1936 - 1941) and Beryl Walsh (1937 - 1946) are two of the many Old Girls who attended the Baston Farewell.

Special thanks go to all those who donated the cakes and to Judy Appleyard, Peggy Bass (Mrs Sanders) and her husband John, Judy Roffey (Mrs Wood) and Joan Hawker for manning the tea stall so valiantly.  We also thank Sue and Hannah Sargeant for their for help throughout the afternoon and Karl and Jessica Wimble for their skills in successfully supervising the parking of well over two hundred cars.

Pictures of the event are available here.

BASTON'S 75 ANNIVERSARY LUNCH

SATURDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2008

We celebrated 75 Years of Baston School at a lunch on Saturday 20 September 2008 in the School Hall for Old Girls and ex-staff.  200 people attended and enjoyed a wonderful day reminiscing over their school days while enjoying good food, fine wine and fabulous Autumn weather.  Below are some pictures from the event.
