PA AGM

The AGM of the Parents' Association was held in the Pavilion on Thursday 30 April. Those attending heard reports from the Chairman and Treasurer detailing a very successful year in terms of the events run and the funds raised.

In this last year the PA raised approximately £9500 and this was matched by a similar expenditure on new equipment for the school.

At the end of the meeting Miss Greenwood thanked the committee for all their hard work and for the additional items of equipment that had been purchased which were making a positive contribution to the education of all Baston girls.

UNIFORM SHOP

The second hand Uniform Shop will be open on MONDAYS throughout the Summer Term from 3 to 4.30 pm

GI Italian Evening

Tuesday 16 February at the

GI Trattoria in West Wickham.

This was a very successful evening and raised £170 towards the refurbishment of the hard tennis courts.

The Baston Quiz

The Baston Quiz was held in the School Hall on Friday 29 February There were 17 table packed with some of the finest brains answering questions in ten different categories. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the evening raised £980 towards the repainting of the netball courts and blinds for the new Drama Room.

BALLOON RACE

The Balloon Race was held on March 20. We are collecting in the return slips to discover which balloon has travelled the furthest. So far we have received tickets from the Maidstone, Frittenden and Tenterden areas. There will be a prize for the balloon which travels the furthest.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 6 May.

75 ANNIVERSARY

FAIR

Saturday 14 June

This is the first major event celebrating Baston's 75 Years. Along with the Hayes Village Association , the Hayes Players and the Hayes Branch of the British Legion, all of whom celebrate their 75 Anniversary in 2008, we are holding a large fair in the school grounds on Saturday 14 June. There will be just under 100 stalls and the event is to be widely publicised in the local area. The Parents' Association are running 6 stalls and would be grateful for any help for an hour or so on the day. If you can help please telephone Wendy Chappell on 020 8462 8543.
