LOOKING TO THE FUTURE Mrs Edwards, our Careers Adviser from Connexions, was in school on Tuesday to give Morrisby feedback to the girls in Year 11 who had taken these aptitude tests last term. She will also be giving individual careers interviews to all the Year 11 girls over the next two weeks, to help them with their choices for Higher Education.
NEWS FROM THE EARLY YEARS . . . Ø A warm welcome to girls and parents who are new to Baston and we are looking forward to meeting you all during the course of this term. Ø We have already been busy painting our portraits and baking Smartie biscuits and are looking forward to a happy and productive Autumn term. Ø Harvest Festival is our first celebration and songs are being earnestly learnt so that we can entertain you on Wednesday 26 September at 9.10am in the Pavilion. Please do not forget to put this date in your diaries - it is an occasion NOT to be missed! Ø Also not to be missed is the Early Years’ Buffet Super on Thursday 8 November at 7.30pm, please do try come along to this evening when you can meet up with parents and staff alike. An invitation will be sent out to remind parents just before half term.
CAKE AND BISCUIT SALE Year 9 will be the first year group to organise the Cake and Biscuit sale this coming Tuesday. Proceeds go towards buying Christmas presents for the residents of Isard House, a home for the elderly in Hayes. These presents are much appreciated – so please give generously!
