Baston Uniform
At the end of the summer term unwanted uniforms were
collected and bagged. The Salvation Army collected
them and it was all transported to Kenya. Here is an
extract from a letter received from a charity worker in
Kenya.
"Some of the uniforms have been snapped
up by our children at Kabete – they have loved them. On
Saturday we had our Christmas party for the Kabete children
as the oldest young people have now completed primary school
and left us today. As Ruth came across to the children’s
home to attend the party she was greatly amused to see all
the children dressed in the uniforms of two former exclusive
south London Prep schools. The boys in particular loved the
brown felt winter hats and the summer straw boaters. ......
They were just
so happy. The children are immensely proud of their new
uniforms!
