A MESSAGE FROM
OUR HEADMISTRESS

Miss KA Greenwood BA Hons

The Headmistress

Every girl who comes to Baston is respected as an individual and is encouraged to develop to her full potential.  The opportunities she will have are many and varied, so that she can discover her talents and strengths and develop good relationships with others, all within a secure environment.

Whatever your daughter’s abilities, from the classroom to the sports field, the art studio to the laboratory, Baston will provide her with excellent teaching in small classes, backed up by a pastoral care system which is second to none.  High fliers will be stimulated to achieve their full potential, while the less academically gifted will be given all the individual coaching and attention needed for their success.

We pride ourselves in producing articulate and confident girls who are proud of their school and are well equipped for the challenges that life holds.  For me, that is the best indictor of whether we are succeeding as an academic establishment.

Such aspirations were confirmed by the ISI last October when they inspected our school.

“Baston is a secure and caring environment in which girls fulfil their potential and develop as very responsible, polite and considerate young adults.”

“The staff are highly committed and teach well”

“Discipline and behaviour are excellent”

“Pastoral care is excellent”

“Governance is good” and “the school is well led”
